Your Tongue

The tongue is made up of many groups of muscles that move in different directions to help in the functioning of the tongue. The front of the tongue aids in eating and chewing food by moving it in the mouth to the molars for grinding. The muscles on the back help produce sounds of certain alphabets while speaking. The back of the tongue also help move the chewed food into the throat.
